Angel’s POV
I glared down at the man I had believed to be my father for the past eighteen years of my life. Uncertainty clouded my thoughts, leaving me at a loss for what to feel. The only certainty was that I was now officially alone. My worst fear materialized right before my eyes: my mother was gone, and the man I thought was my dad had just admitted he knew I wasn't truly his.
I couldn't bear to dwell on the fact that my biological father was actively searching for me to ensure I bore his child. Did he even realize I was his, or was he so desperate for an heir that the truth didn't matter?
“Bring her a blanket and some clothes,” Dante ordered Rashaad. He nodded and disappeared out of the room. Dante extended a steady hand, delicately stroking the top of my head.
