Maddox. I was blinded by anger, it filled me like blood coursing through my veins boiling rapidly under my skin. I had been angry before but this time felt different, it was like I was a different person. “So you’re really going to fuck a human and let her bear weak pups to take over your throne?” Someone had said and my eyes had caused Desiree’s. The hurt flashing behind her eyes was enough to send my fist flying across the man’s jaw before I could even blink. I didn’t know why I was angry at someone talking to her that way, but something within me didn’t want to see her hurt. It tore at my heart to do something about the person who had hurt her. Fist after fist, I disfigured his face, blood splattered around his face but I didn’t care, my vision started to tilt red and it wasn’t until I felt a hand on my shoulder before I looked down at the bloodied man underneath me. I stopped, turning sharply at the person behind me, at first I didn’t recognize who it was and I was standing on
