Mirage’s P.O.V
The wind blew back my hair off my face and for the thousandth time, I felt grateful that I had remembered to tie my hair back. Otherwise, it would be a delightful mess to untangle tonight…not that it was going to be any better anyways.
The vast sea stretched in front of me, the waters pure blue that was only interrupted by some sudden rock formations protruding out of the water like dark monsters. But the most beautiful view was the red-gold lights from the sunset over the horizon.
“Have you ever been to the beach before?” Alex asked from beside me while he munched on a sandwich.
“I don’t think so.” I told him, still looking out at the waves crashing onto the shore in wonder. “If I had, then this wouldn’t have felt so fascinating.”
“Fair enough,” I heard him say before I watched him bring the sandwich back to his lips from the corner of my eyes.
