After an hour or two of finalizing the battle plan to attack Wolfsong, I left my office and headed home to my Luna. My mind was still reeling with the details, the strategies, and the potential outcomes. I knew this attack was necessary, but the weight of it hung heavy on my shoulders.
As I walked through the door, Lyra greeted me. Her face lit up with that radiant smile I adored so much. All of her injuries had disappeared and she was back in good spirits, her energy filling the room like a warm embrace.
And damn how I hated making her warm smile quickly fade when she saw my expression. It was like watching the sun disappear behind a cloud, the light in her eyes dimming as she registered the seriousness etched into my features.
