No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t fall asleep. I pushed from the bed Xavius and I shared and padded across the room to switch on the light.

We were merely a few compared to the lives that would be lost if Drakan went through with his plan. It was a chance and goodness forbid, may it not be the case—sacrifice we had to make for the greater good.
