Within the span of days, Dante was sitting up by himself and eating like the world was ending.
Literally.
I have no idea, even for such a large man, how he managed to eat enough food for a family of eight. Maybe, even ten.
I watched him in silence as he devoured the last of the roasted chicken, and when he noticed me looking, he arched a brow. “What?”
“How do you eat so much?” I asked. “Don’t you get sick?”
He shrugged, tearing into the remainder of the chicken leg. “I’m a big guy. I get hungry.”
“He’ll eat us too if he wasn’t a domesticated werewolf,” Anabelle snorted a laugh as she entered the infirmary, carrying a stack of notebooks.

“I’m teaching her nursing,” I replied.
He muttered a curse. “Why does it feel like I’ve been gone for years?” He eyed her. “Since when did you decide you wanted to get into nursing?”
