“That was a good meal,” Cecilia said with a satisfied grin on her face as she leaned back in her seat, earning a glare from Davis.
“You're welcome,” he told her when she didn't appreciate him for the food and she rolled her eyes.
“Oh, you're so petty. Fine, thank you for the meal Chef Davis,” she said as she stood from her seat and grabbed her empty plate and her bag. “I would have loved to keep you company but I have to see Anna. This is one of the very few days that I'm free so I should make the most of it.”
At the mention of Anna, Davis’s eyes lit up although it didn't change his mood. Even if she's going to see her, I won't get to do the same anyway. With a sad smile, he continued eating, watching as Cecilia made her way out of the house. “Wait!” He suddenly yelled as he shot up from his seat.
“What the hell?” Cecilia snapped, her hand on her chest as she spun to face him. “Why did you yell?” She questioned with a frown, wondering if he was trying to upset the food in
