CHAPTER 299: MAY A SOUL REST IN PEACE
Fido sat at the kitchen table, looking down at his hands. The room was filled with the comforting aroma of freshly baked pizza, but he couldn’t shake the sadness that had been gnawing at him.
"I miss Maya," Fido said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper.
Caleb and Juliet exchanged a glance, their smiles fading. Caleb reached out and placed a reassuring hand on Fido’s shoulder.
"We miss her too, Fido," Caleb said softly. "Every day."
Juliet nodded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "She was an incredible person. We all loved her."
Fido looked up, his eyes filled with determination. "I want us to go visit her. The three of us. Together."
Caleb and Juliet were silent for a moment, both processing Fido’s request. Then, almost in unison, they nodded.
"Of course," Caleb said. "We’d love to go visit her."
"Yes," Juliet agreed. "It’s been too long since we’ve been to her grave. It would be good for all of us."
