CHAPTER 133: THE AFTERMATH
The morning sun filtered through the blinds, casting long shadows across Juliet's bedroom floor. Viola knocked softly on the door, her expression worried as she waited for her daughter to respond.
But when there was no answer, she hesitated only a moment before turning the knob and stepping inside.
What she saw made her heart ache. Juliet sat on her bed, her eyes red and swollen from a night of tears.
Her usually vibrant hair hung limp and disheveled around her face, and she stared blankly at the wall, lost in her own thoughts.
Viola rushed to her side, sitting down beside her and wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"Juliet, honey," she said, her voice filled with concern. "What's wrong? What happened?"
Juliet didn't answer, her gaze still fixed on some far-off point.
Viola's worry deepened, and she pulled her daughter close, stroking her hair and murmuring words of comfort.
"It's okay, sweetie," she said. "You can tell me anything. I'm here for you."
