Daniel continued to stand there, his eyes fixed on the ground as he tried to process his own emotions.
He knew he couldn't comfort Juliet, not when she had made it clear that she didn't trust him. But he couldn't bring himself to leave her alone, not when she was so overcome with grief.
Suddenly, Jayden appeared, his face grave and solemn. He walked up to Daniel, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I think you should go home, Daniel," he said softly. "Let me take care of Juliet."
Daniel nodded slowly, his gaze still fixed on the ground. He could feel the weight of Jayden's words, the truth in his suggestion. But he still hesitated, his mind reeling with uncertainty and guilt.
"She doesn't want me here," Daniel said, his voice heavy with emotion. "I can't help her, not when she won't let me."
Jayden nodded, his expression understanding. "I know," he said. "But sometimes, the best thing you can do for someone is to give them the space they need to grieve. Juliet needs time to process
