“What if we snitch on him and tell the royals the truth about him?” I suggested, crossing my arms.
Tony gave me a flat look. Then, he smirked. “Nice joke. But who is going to do that? You? A Moon-bound wolf that they’re already looking for?” He arched a brow.
I cringed. “…Bad idea?”
“Not necessarily,” he admitted, tilting his head. “But we don’t have the means to pull it off. Dimitri has connections. We don’t.”
He was right. We were operating in the shadows, blindfolded, while Dimitri had the luxury of working within a system that protected him. He had allies in places we couldn’t even reach yet.
“Let’s keep digging,” Tony said, shaking off the tension. “Maybe we’ll find more clues along the way.”
