CHAPTER FORTY-ONE THE WAIT
As Luke and his uncle arrived at the docks, the night air hung heavy with tension, the sound of waves crashing against the shore adding to the sense of foreboding that filled the air. They parked their car a safe distance away from the main entrance, the dim glow of the streetlights casting long shadows across the pavement.
Luke's uncle turned off the engine, his expression grave as he turned to Luke.
"Are you ready for this?" he asked, his voice low and steady.
Luke nodded, his jaw set with determination. "I'm ready," he replied, his eyes fixed on the darkened silhouette of the warehouse in the distance.
They sat in silence for a moment, the weight of their mission hanging heavy between them. Luke's mind raced with thoughts of what lay ahead, his thoughts consumed by the danger that awaited them inside.
