Kevin blamed himself a little. That shop was newly opened. If he had known this would happen, he would have checked out the place first and confirmed the quality of the food before taking Tianna there.
"No," Tianna said weakly, "it has nothing to do with fried chicken."
She was a little embarrassed to explain to him why she was unwell. After all, he would not understand.
"Then what's wrong with you?" Kevin was anxious, but he couldn't do anything about it.
"It's nothing serious, don't worry about me," said Tianna. She was not feeling well and she did not have the energy to answer Kevin's questions.
"What do you mean 'nothing serious'?" Kevin began to get a little angry. He was not blind. He could easily see that something was wrong, but Tianna was insisting on placating him with a mere excuse. "Your face is pale and your lips are white. Is this what you call 'nothing serious'?"
Tianna was speechless.
It hurt so much that she didn't want to talk to Kevin.
