Scarlett spent a horrible night. She could find sleep at all and turned over and over on her bed until dawn came. She was gnawed by guilt for insulting Ryke last night and by melancholy because Megan was pregnant thanks to Austin. She knew it was silly to be hurt by that but she couldn’t help it.
