*Mae* Mae kept her eyes locked intently on April. Her anxiety and worry were growing with every moment her sister was silent. "Who do you think you're going to mate with?" Mae demanded again. Mae crossed her arms over her chest and kept her eyes focused. April stared back but didn't look as if she was going to answer still. Circe let out an uncomfortable breath. "Why are you so angry and nervous about this?" April shot back. She didn't move or flinch as she spoke. She looked somewhat determined to keep this secret from Mae. "Why are you keeping it to yourself?" Mae replied, keeping in tone with her sister's defensive responses. April narrowed her eyes. "Fine, one of the first times I came here I ran into… Nathan. We clicked, and I could feel something there. I feel fairly certain he's meant to be my mate," April answered, keeping her tone even and smooth. April's eyes were still narrowed on Mae.
