Chapter 26 : The Road to Magic

*Mae* Mae felt her knees weaken, and she started to collapse in heartbreak. Henry quickly moved to catch her without missing a beat. He helped lower Mae carefully to the ground and held her while she cried. Mae felt a tremendous aching in her body and couldn't stop sobbing. She couldn't see how she could ever completely rectify things now. Either she continued on this path with Henry and potentially lost her father forever, or she could go back to her father and watch as he destroyed Henry and the Mountain Pack.
