Evan's face was ashen as he lay on the stretcher.
He looked like he was in a lot of suffering. His handsome brow furrowed deep. He looked like he wanted to throw up, but he couldn't.
I felt a tugging pain in my heart.
I was about to lose sight of the ambulance. So, I threw my pink suitcase at Kelly and clambered into the cab.
"Sir, we're not going to the airport anymore. Follow the ambulance in front. Hurry!"
"Sure thing, here we go."
The cab driver sped all the way and was right behind the ambulance when we arrived at Jarvia Central Hospital.
I paid my fare and jogged to the emergency room. When I arrived, I overheard the attending doctor's conversation with Xavier.
