Gu Mocheng watched Jian Jianan with his sharp, bright eyes. Her expression was stern, serious and full of vengeance. Her words did not match her how old she was.
‘Isn’t she Jian Ansheng’s pampered little princess? Didn’t he take every precaution to keep her from getting hurt? What has she gone through to make her say these kinds of things?’ he wondered.

Upon catching sight of Jian Jianan, Jian Ansheng treaded towards her in large strides, worriedly scanning her for wounds. He heaved a heavy sigh of relief knowing she was not hurt, despite the pallor on her face.
He also examined the unignorable person beside Jian Jianan. His face expressed an indescribable surprise and excitement. “Mocheng, why didn’t you tell me you were coming over?”
Jian Jianan looked towards Gu Mocheng. Her face was without emotion, but her heart palpitated in great beats. She worried he would turn away, ignoring her father and leaving the place.
After all, there were many media companies and prestigious leaders from many companies present. If Gu Mocheng ignored her father, it would not only bring embarrassment to her and her father, but all of North-South Pharmaceutical would turn into a laughing stock open for city gossipers.

In the multiple meetings that Jian Jianan had with Gu Mocheng, she had never seen him smiling. He always had a dour, albeit good-looking, face; his face had always been stark, and his eyes cold, he could command all attention at a glance. When he was not smiling, there was strength in his presence, and a forbidding sternness that made people want to stay away from him.
As he smiled, a shallow dimple appeared at the right side of his cheek. It made him look cute and attractive, and Jian Jianan had to resist the urge to poke it with her fingers.
The women at the scene were also captivated by Gu Mocheng’s smile, their eyes portraying their infatuation with him.
Seeing so many women staring at Gu Mocheng, Jian Jianan had a brief, but strong impulse to hide Gu Mocheng.

Looking up at his midnight black eyes, Jian Jianan felt her heart skip a beat.
The two of them were standing very close to each other, ear to ear. From afar, they looked like a couple. The spectators’ made guesses at the actual relationship between Jian Jianan and Gu Mocheng.
