CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED THE BOAR, THE HUNTERS, THE SASHA
DAPHNE'S POV
He nodded, understanding the depth of my words. “Mercy isn’t easy, especially when you’ve been hurt so deeply.”
“No, it’s not,” I agreed, my voice barely above a whisper. “But it’s necessary. If we don’t find a way to forgive, we’ll be trapped in our own misery forever. I don’t want that for us, Javion. I want to heal, and I want us to heal together.”
Javion reached up, gently brushing away a tear from my cheek. “We will,” he promised, his voice filled with determination. “We’ll get through this, Daphne. Together.”
I leaned into his touch, feeling a sense of peace that I hadn’t felt in years. “Thank you for not giving up on me… on us.”
“I could never give up on you,” he murmured, his voice tender. “You’re my everything, Daphne.”
I smiled through my tears, the weight on my heart lifting just a little. “And you’re mine. I love you, Javion. I always have, and I always will.”
“I love you too,” he whispered, pulling me into his arms. “And I’m never letting you go again.”
