DAPHNE'S POV
I watched Javion’s face closely, my heart aching with the weight of everything we were facing.
His eyes were filled with worry, mirroring my own, and I could see the tension in his shoulders as he tried to think of a way out of this mess.
But for a moment, I wanted to forget about all of that. I needed to remind him—and myself—of what really mattered. I reached out, gently placing my hand on his cheek, guiding his eyes back to mine.
“Javion,” I whispered, my voice trembling slightly, “I need you to know how much I love you. I’ve always loved you, and nothing will ever change that.”
His expression softened, and he leaned into my touch, closing his eyes briefly as if savoring the moment. “Daphne, I love you too. More than anything.”
