JAVION'S POV
Enzo nodded in agreement, though his frustration was clear. “We’re with you, Javion. But don’t think this is over. We need to get her out of here, and we need to do it quickly.”
I nodded, my heart heavy with the weight of the situation. “Thank you,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “We’ll get through this. I promise.”
As Xander disappeared from view, heading towards Daphne, I felt a pang of helplessness.
I wanted to be there with her, to make things right, but for now, all I could do was wait and hope that my willingness to face punishment would somehow make things easier for her.
I remained there on my knees, feeling every second drag on as I stared at the rogues surrounding us. Their laughter and jeers filled the air, and my thoughts were consumed by Daphne.
I couldn’t help but think about how she was faring in this place, trapped among these rogues. It was a nightmare I couldn’t escape from, no matter how hard I tried.
