Chapter Seventy-Three Mixed Signals
I anticipated Anthony's response. He looked deeply in thought before a smile broke out on his face.
"A single mother adopted me," Anthony answered.
I could feel that he still had something in mind to say, so I didn't interrupt him.
"She was really kind; she was the best person anyone could ask for as a mother figure. She's so sweet, I really love her." He concluded.
The glint in his eyes made it evident that he loved her.
I hadn't known him for long, but I could make out that he was a lovely man with the short conversations I had with him.
"Have you ever tried to track down your mother?" I asked him again.
"I've really tried countless times. I was only fortunate to have been able to see my father, who wouldn't even say anything about my biological mother." He answered.
"I've always wanted to know who my birth parents are. I have a bunch of questions for them, I want to know the reason I was put in the system; I also need to know if I was abandoned because they did not want me."
