Chapter Hundred And Eighteen: Ante-Natal Session
The hospital's antenatal section was noisy with conversations and the flips and flaps of magazines. I sat in the waiting room, my fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns on the pages of a pregnancy magazine. My mind, however, was far from what surrounded me. I was soaked deep by the conversation I had just had with Thomas.
Evans might have noticed my mood as he approached me with a concerned expression.
“Babe, is everything okay? You seem a bit off." He asked as he got close.
I managed a smile, attempting to pretend. I didn't want to burden Evans with my troubles; I just couldn’t, especially not now that weight was too much of a problem for him to handle as he already had so much on his plate.
"Just a bit tired, I guess. You know how these pregnancy hormones are." I replied.
He took a seat beside me.
“You look good in your scrub. Aren't you supposed to have like a section or something?”
“I do have in a few minutes, but I just wanted to see you and ensure you are okay.”
