Another image he couldn’t get rid of was that of Sabrina raising her arms to block the daggers meant for Nigel. The same scenes replayed over and over again in Sebastian’s mind.

Selene was the woman who saved his life and had his child. No matter how much he hated her, it was a responsibility that he needed to bear.
