Chapter 15
At this second, Joanna's brain had gone blank. She had imagined the scene where she and Yana would meet again for countless times, but that was something that would happen in time.
Richie didn't allow her to come anywhere close, but Yana had opened the door for her like a mistress.
Seeing her, Yana was also stunned. After a few seconds, she whispered, "Joanna?"
Joanna twitched the corners of his lips and raised his hand to say hello generously. Suddenly, a figure quickly stopped in front of her and said coldly, "What are you doing!"
Richie's defensive eyes pierced her heart. She was only nervous, did he think she was going to hit her? In his eyes, was she such an unreasonable woman? She curled up her fingers and slowly put it down, squeezing the contents of the bag, and said in a harsh voice, "I met Jalen at the door, and he asked me to bring it to you."
Richie looked at her suspiciously, but did not answer. Joanna raised her hand halfway, a trace of embarrassment flashed in her eyes, and smiled reluctantly, "Richie, can I say a few words to you alone?"
Richie didn't say anything. He knew exactly what kind of woman Joanna was. She could support half of Mo's family. Her ruthless methods of the stock market were not inferior to any men. And he planned to give her her just dessert. In this situation, he didn't believe she would be like this. He perished the thought and thought that perhaps she was calculating in her heart how to deal with Yana, thinking of this, his eyes darkened.
"Let's say something here. There's nothing shady between you and me."
Joanna's pupils shrank, her eyes turned black, and her blood froze because of this sentence, she stared at him firmly, trying to see some different emotions in his eyes, but there was none, except for indifference.
"It's getting late, let me go first."
Yana spoke suddenly, her tone was gentle, and the man instinctively pitied when she spoke. Richie clasped her wrist and frowned, "I said you will live here!"
"Richie, don't be like this." Yana looked embarrassed, glanced at Joanna, and didn't know what to say, they seemed to be the real couple.
"Grandpa is seriously ill," Joanna interrupted them, staring into his eyes, and roared, "When he was in the hospital bed, when it was unclear whether he’ll die or not, you were here making out with this woman? Richie, you are so disgusting! Revolting!"
She threw the bag in her hand onto Richie, turned and ran away.
Richie stared at the daily necessities scattered on the ground. This seemed to be the first time that Joanna was angry at him, and he felt a little strange in his heart.
When Joanna came out of the villa, she slowed down. She listened carefully to the voice behind her. After a long time, she couldn't help but cry.
He did not chase after her. he did not even bother to...
...
"Second brother!"
Eugene sat down on the sofa, raised her head and blinked at Jensen, "A good news, a bad news and a good news, which one do you want to hear?"
Jensen looked at his shoes on the coffee table, kicked it down, and said lightly, "the useful one."
Eugene touched his nose and smiled, "The good news is that there’s a lead on Tammy."
Eugene took out his phone and pointed it to him, "The day after the hair ball was lost, this social media account had posted something. I have already investigated the blogger in private. Also, you didn’t tell me, your little chubby cat is very photogenic—"
"meow—"
Before he could finish speaking, Tammy suddenly jumped onto the coffee table and let out a cry. Eugene's hands trembled and his eyes widened.
"Second brother, when did your cat come back?"
Jensen ignored him, squinted at the social media account nickname, Summer, could it be her?
"Hey, I'm busy," Eugene reached out and poked Tammy's nose, turned to raise an eyebrow at Jensen, "There is news from the hospital, the old man has woke up, and your sister has formed a united front with your sister-in-law. The old man is crying and grabbing the ground at the window, do you want to go over and do express some filial piety?"
Jensen glanced at him, and said coolly, "How to do it? Putting on airs of filial piety?"
Eugene touched his nose, and smiled slyly.
"In another two weeks, it will be the 70th birthday of the old man. My old man told me that the old geezer planned to have you recognize your ancestor and return to the clan. When you come back, eight to nine out of ten votes on you and something will come up that day. That woman really does everything for the sake of the wealth of the family—"
After a conversation, he quietly glanced at Jensen and coughed, "The last thing, I was stood up by the first lady in Yun'an, and the maintenance fee for your car was not yet paid."
Saying that he took Jensen’s cell phone and pressed it a few times, “I saved her phone number on your cell phone, so you can figure it out by yourself. I’ll be back on the seventh day. I have to hide. Second brother, you can betray me, alright."
"Yes," Jensen took a cigarette, folded his legs lazily, and glanced at him carelessly, "The long break at the end of the year is shortened by a third."
Eugene's mouth twitched, "You are taking advantage of the fire!"
"half."
