The lighting technician dimmed the banquet hall. Only a single spotlight was left turned on, illuminating the figure striding forward—Brighton Group's CEO.
The circular beam moved with his steps, following him until he reached the center of the stage. As he stopped, all the stage lights flicked on at once.
Daniel's gaze swept across the applauding crowd, and he picked up the microphone.
"I know everyone is looking forward to the grand prize, but let me say two things first.
"One, the issue of overtime has been resolved. Compensation will be distributed along with your year-end bonuses.
"Two, Brighton Group appreciates all your hard work. In the new year, I hope you'll take more time to care for your families and the people around you.
"Alright, that's all. Let's begin the draw."
Two sentences. That was it.
The CEO made money, sure, but it was clear that he genuinely cared about his employees' well-being. Otherwise, he wouldn't remind them to spend more time with their loved one
