I missed mornings like this at our apartment. On mornings when I would fix a hurried breakfast of pancakes and cranberry juice while Jojo would get ready for class. It was comfy and minimal here. It was home.
When Jojo finished getting dressed, we sat down to have our quick breakfast with Jojo feeding me the details of how her new friend; Molly had gone behind her back to ask Jason out.
"I heard he walked out on her without as little as a reply. It was as if she was a ghost. That bitch." She said, biting into her pancake.
"I guess he's not all that bad, then," I said, taking a sip of my juice.
She shrugged like she doesn't care less about him. But I knew her too well. And I knew she was still hurting from their breakup. Deep inside, I wish he had fought for her even harder. That made me wonder...if I was Connor's real girlfriend, would he fight for me too?
