At some point, she must have fallen asleep. She woke up in Seth’s arms in a completely different environment.
He looked at her and flashed her a dazzling smile. “I didn’t want to wake you up.”
She smiled, touched at that sweet gesture, and allowed him to put her down.
“This place is beautiful.” She murmured, awed as she followed him blindly. Tropical trees surrounded them, and she could see the beach from where they were.
“This island is a family heirloom. Been passed down from generation to generation.”
“Impressive.” She absentmindedly murmured as she admired the surroundings. “Is that where we’ll be staying?” She muttered, excited once she spotted a beautiful white maisonette. He looked at her as if she’d grown a second head.
“That’s where the caretaker stays. Our house is a few minutes past his.” He squeezed her hand reassuringly.
They padded, hand in hand, and it was so quiet here.
She stopped dead in her tracks.
“Is that where we’ll be staying?” She muttered, her mouth wide open
