CHAPTER FORTY FIVE – STALKER EX
During their latest session, Dr. Wallace leafed through Joan's draft, her red pen poised like a weapon. "Ms. Keppler, this literature review is woefully inadequate. You've overlooked several key studies."
Joan bit her lip, frustration bubbling up inside her. "I've included all the major works in the field, Dr. Wallace. Which studies do you feel I've missed?"
Dr. Wallace's eyes narrowed. "If you can't identify the gaps in your own research, perhaps you're not cut out for this level of academic rigor."
The meeting continued in this vein, with Dr. Wallace nitpicking every detail of Joan's work. By the end, Joan's draft was more red ink than original text.
As Joan gathered her things to leave, Dr. Wallace delivered a final blow. "I expect a complete overhaul by next week. And Ms. Keppler? Do try to produce something worth reading this time."
