Seeing the way Emma and Kirra interacted made him happy but also pulled at something inside him. He’d never had a brother or sister. It had been just him, his dad, and his grandparents. He didn’t even remember his mother, not really. The only memories he had relating to her were when he would sit at the window waiting for her to arrive. After she left, she visited a few times and then the visits just stopped. He never knew why.
