"I'd actually love that. But you know the people in my company are even scarier than yours. I wouldn't want to stress you out and for Lexi to come to me and say, 'Daddy, what's wrong with Mommy recently? Why does it feel like she's falling apart?'" Samson imitated Lexi's tone as he spoke to Linda.
"My dad has completely stepped back now and leaves the entire company in my hands. But those old folks have been with the company for over a decade and have made significant contributions." Samson didn't intend to hide it from Linda.
"I can't just fire them or eliminate their people without a cause. It would stir up a lot of public criticism if I did so, and it could even damage my dad's reputation after all these years."
The problem that frustrated him the most right now was that some of the company's major projects were tightly controlled by the people working under those shareholders.
He knew better than anyone that those shareholders were holding onto the projects to ensure they had a
