William took a couple of 100-dollar bills out of his wallet and gave them to Lexi.
"Happy New Year, Lexi."
William felt like his heart was breaking in two while he said that.
Lexi politely thanked him when she received the sudden gift.
"Since the two of them are still upstairs, I'll be leaving now," he said before turning and leaving.
Even after getting back in his car, all he could think about was Lexi's striking resemblance to Linda.
It would have been wonderful if she were his child.
