The weight of Wolfe's words hung in the air like a dense fog. He might be falling in love with me?
My heart pounded in my chest, a mix of shock and disbelief coursing through me. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach—like the ones I often wrote about in my books. I wanted to believe it so badly because these were the words I’d been waiting to hear for so long. But why now?
