Chapter 96 The Shadow Of Doubts
Judy started to observe Hensey, more closely. At first, it was just little things that seemed off. He started drinking at odd hours, something he never used to do. Sometimes Judy even caught him sniffing something strange when he thought no one was looking. It made her uneasy.
But it wasn't just the drinking and sniffing. There were times when Hensey acted oddly around Eleanor, his daughter-in-law. Judy noticed him being overly friendly, holding her hand a bit too long or standing a bit too close. And Eleanor, always polite and composed, seemed uncomfortable with his advances.
One day, Judy saw Hensey and Eleanor talking in the living room. His hand lingered on her arm, and Eleanor looked uneasy. Sensing something was wrong, Judy quickly found an excuse to pull Eleanor away from the conversation, hoping to give her some space.
Judy walked into the living room. "Hey, Eleanor, could you help me out in the kitchen for a moment? I could really use a hand making some coffee."
