Chapter 1524
When Finn's question echoed in the air, Janine wasn't surprised.
"What does this have to do with me and the kids? You could use the property deed and the bank card to find someone willing to help. There's no need to come here and try to guilt-trip us. You owe the kids, not the other way around. Got it?"
Finn didn't care about who owed who. Right now, the only ones who could help his daughter were his three sons.
"I don't understand. For you, this is hardly a loss. But this could save a child's life. And afterward, we'll be in touch more often. They'll have a father and even a sister. Why not help? It's not such a big deal."
Hearing his words, Janine understood there was no point in saying more. She stood up and walked out of the café.
Finn watched her leave without a care, anger rising within him. He slammed his hand down on the table. The loud noise made those nearby frown.
The other patrons found him rude.
It was only then that Finn realized his outburst was a bit irrational.
