Chapter 58 A Second Chance.
The night air was thick with tension as Gary and his pack moved stealthily through the forest, their senses on high alert. The failed attack on the hunters had left them shaken and desperate. Every rustle of leaves, every snap of a twig, made them flinch. They knew they were being hunted, but they couldn’t turn back now. The hunters were out there, somewhere, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Gary’s eyes scanned the trees, his ears twitching at the slightest sound. He could feel the fear radiating from his pack, but he pushed them forward, deeper into the shadows. They had to find a way out of this mess, to regroup and figure out their next move. But as they moved through the dense forest, an uneasy feeling settled in Gary’s chest. It felt like they were being funneled, guided by unseen hands towards a trap.
