Ari Moretti strolled into Elodie’s office two hours early, with a grin that could charm the pants off a cactus.
Elodie raised an eyebrow. ‘Mr Moretti, punctuality is hot, but warping the time-space continuum might be a bit much, don’t you think?’
Ari sat down in the visitor’s chair and crossed his long legs at the ankles. ‘Call it investor FOMO. I know you’ll be having meetings all day and can’t miss a single brushstroke of your team’s masterpieces. Think of me as a fly on the wall with a front-row seat to your genius.’
Elodie’s hazel eyes narrowed, a hint of heat battling with her CEO’s steel. ‘These meetings are confidential, Ari.’
And frankly, the man was a distraction in a designer suit.
Ari leaned in. ‘Maybe. But I can’t just sign a cheque without knowing more details about a project this size. I’m an investor, not a gambler.’
