Just as Alston stepped out of the stairwell from the emergency exit, before he entered the public view, Gladys spotted him from a distance. "Daddy?" she called out softly. Thinking that Gladys was speaking to Brian, Cecilia and Brian both turned their attention to her. Brian crouched down beside Gladys and asked in a low voice, "Gladys, what did you say?"
