ELLIOT’S POV
I groaned, the pain that coursed through my body excruciating. It was like this every night. The pain creeped into my nerves slowly, increasing by each passing second. The silence in this small room, only amplified the pain even further.
I had been here for two weeks, but it felt like I had spent more than a decade here.
The loneliness was one of things that bothered me, along with the fact that I could barely leave the room. I was confined to this spot, and had no freedom to go wherever I liked. At the beginning of my quarantine, things were about easy.
The pain was not as bad as I had anticipated, and needed a break from people for a while. But now that the days were getting longer, I craved company, and someone to talk to. The closest human contact I’ve received is the doctors that would occasionally come to give me my pain medications.
But they barely talked to me.
My body rang with pain and I gritted my teeth together as my nerves stood on edge. I grabbed the sheets,
