38. ANGEL
It was freezing.
I bit my lip to stop a giggle from escaping. Winter was one of the seasons I absolutely hated due to the cold, and I landed myself in another world where the cold was made especially for them.
Lucas’s hands covered mine, making some of the cold disappear.
I was dressed from head to toe in winter gear, and for that I was thankful. His body pressed to my back at least blocked the cold from my back.
My eyes darted around, but all I saw was snow.
Snow-covered mountains, and the castle, and some buildings from town. The town looked a lot bigger than I imagined it to be.
Nate suddenly swooped down, making my heart drop to my stomach.
My hold on the saddle tightened as I fought the pull of my body. He turned to the left and then to the right. We were nearing the castle.
I looked down and instantly wished I hadn’t.
