35. ANGEL
Everything was hazy. It felt like I was stuck in a fever dream. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get my body to react. At the back of my mind, I knew that I had to fight. I had no idea where I was, but I knew that I was in trouble.
Cold was seeping into my skin.
I couldn't feel my feet or hands at all.
My stomach was twisting with nausea from whatever they injected me.
They were talking, but I couldn’t make sense of their words.
A low growl startled the men.
Before I could even make sense of things, I was dropped onto the ground. I caught sight of something big moving towards the men before everything faded into darkness.

My cheek rested against warm scaly skin. I could hear the powerful flap of its wings as we flew through the air. Had I been kidnapped by another dragon?
I couldn’t see a thing, so I wasn’t sure whether we were heading back to the castle.
