Sullen
Sullen rode in the passenger seat of Roan’s Jeep, while Jacob sat in the back, leaning forward between them.
The guy hadn’t stopped talking since they got into the car. Roan reached over and gripped Sullen’s leg.
“Dude, you should have heard the shewolves talking crap after you jumped Whitney. I was glad you did it. No one should disrespect their alpha that way.”
Jacob pointed toward the giant Mermaid Tale over the rundown bar a block away. Sullen couldn’t imagine her mother in a place like that, but she’d surprised her lately, and maybe her mother used to party more than she let on.

Roan parked his Jeep as close to the door as he could. “In case we need a quick getaway. Some rogues are ready to fight an alpha instantly.”
Sullen shivered. She didn’t want to be pulled into a fight in a dirty bar.
“Aren’t you glad you brought me?” Jacob asked, getting out of the back. “No offense, Sullen. You’re awesome, and I’m sure you can hold your own, but you’re out of
