Luca hadn’t always been the strongest, but power and control had grown into the paramount necessity after his father's death. Most of all, though, he wanted revenge still.
Every morning, long before the sun made its way over the horizon, he slipped away from the main pack camp into the training grounds that had been set aside for him. Here was where, away from the watchful eyes of his mother and Ardan, he challenged himself to the limits of his usual endurance. He trained until his muscles protested and his lungs burned, forcing himself to become faster, stronger, and more deadly.
There was a limit to physical strength, though. He had seen what the Red Blood Moon pack was capable of: ruthless, unpredictable, with his father gone. He needed to find allies: wolves who felt the same anger boiling within him. And he found them.
