The situation in the camp had been tense for some time. It began with word battles—a few barbs exchanged between my pack and Joachim’s rogues in passing—though recently, things had turned physical. Today, I found myself in the middle of the training grounds, clapping my hands to restore order after another fight.
“This is exactly the kind of attitude that we don’t want around here! You’re all children!” I boomed, making my voice heard above all the ruckus. “We are supposed to be on the same side, are we not? How can this be happening?”
The two fighters angrily retreated, cursing under their breath.
