Chapter 967
By the time Joanne found her, Queenie had delivered Lori a grave warning.
"Are you alright?" Joanne frantically assessed Queenie from head to toe and left to right. "Oh, thank goodness. Not a hair out of place!"
Queenie watched Joanne heave a huge sigh of relief and noted the panic on her face. She asked with a faint chuckle, "Aren't we dramatic? Anyone who doesn't know better might think I'm carrying your baby."
"The baby may as well be mine at this point. What's yours is mine and vice versa, right?" Joanne teased right back.
Friends were like chosen family, and that was exactly what Joanne and Queenie were to one another. Their lesser upbringings didn't matter because they'd always have each other.
"What did you say to Lori? She seemed pretty pissed when she stormed off," Joanne observed. She wasn't so much worried about offending Lori as she was of the latter going mad and hurting Queenie out of spite.
