Queenie caught Henry's drift—he didn't think there was any need to set up a proper meeting with her because he didn't have time to waste on her.
She realized now that he disliked her. It made sense—a regular woman like her wasn't worthy of someone as outstanding as Joshua, no matter how one looked at it.
"I'm listening, sir. Go ahead." She didn't address Henry as "Dad". Firstly, Joshua had yet to introduce them formally. Secondly, Henry had already made it clear he didn't like her. She didn't need to suck up to him.
Henry was evidently pleased by her address of him. He nodded approvingly and said, "Looks like you're salvageable. You're not as simple as you seem."
