A day later, Vincent showed up at Annie Station again. He figured Joanne would've cooled off after a day. She refused to have another meal with him, though. She said, "Hurry up and ask whatever questions you have. Leave me alone once you have your answers."
"You told me the woman in the video is Queenie's sister, right? Are you sure she and Queenie are Hanson's biological daughters?" Vincent cut to the chase. This was one thing he had to verify.
"That's an odd question, Mr. Hooper. Don't you think you should ask Mr. Atkinson whether Joey and Queenie are his daughters?"
In truth, Joanne had suspected Hanson's relationship with Joey and Queenie more than once. They were obedient and beautiful; why didn't Hanson like them? Why did he keep trying to torment them? Yet, knowing him, he wouldn't have raised them for so many years if they weren't his daughters.
Joanne was in a dilemma because of these conflicting thoughts, but she didn't dare give Vincent a definite answer.
