Just as Joshua was about to stop her, Queenie had already run to the roadside and was helping the old repairman, Tom Reynolds, unload her electric scooter from a tricycle.
"Thanks a lot. How much do I owe you?" Queenie asked, pulling out her phone to pay.
"With the tire change and repainting, it's 350 dollars in total. Also, I fixed your loose brakes. For you, 300 dollars will do." Tom took out his phone to check Queenie's payment.
After paying and testing the scooter, Queenie waved Tom off.
Tom even called out before leaving, "Ms. Atkinson, I threw out your old tire. The new one should last you at least three years."
"That old tire was beyond saving. I had to inflate it four times already. Thanks again." Queenie waved to Tom as he left. After sending him off, she parked her fixed scooter under the shade near the shop's entrance.
