CHAPTER 73 - LOVE ME AGAIN

-VANCE'S POV- Picking up my pace, I ran towards the western border. Keenly on guard of my surroundings as I sprinted through the forest. Arriving at the area, I slowed down and moved cautiously because I heard a faint rustling in the distance. The rustling became more audible when I walked closer to a few trees. I halted when the sounds stopped. The gusting scent of blood entered my nostrils. As the images came into view, a small brown wolf laid on its belly, wounded in the ribs and with a bite mark on her leg. Next to it, laid one of my female warriors on her back with her intestines ripped out, visibly dead. By instinct, I scanned my vicinity for possible attackers. The wounded one whimpered and shifted into her human form, naked. With urgency, I darted to her side. "Alpha," her voice pleading to be saved and her emotions flowed out to me clearly.
