"Put those pictures over there, please!" I pointed towards the back wall to tell the guys where to hang the pictures.
I was busy trying to help the workers and designers around me place all of the decorations and furniture in its perfect spot around the new bar. I needed it all to be immaculate and just so, although it never would be comparable to the last place. Nothing was going to be the same after I lost my old man's bar. The Viper Bar was its own character, a livewire in the middle of death. I had listened to Adriano and placed photos of the old bar around the perimeter of the new establishment.
I wanted to honor it and to showcase my dad even if he caused my life to be a living hell lately. It still meant a lot to him, and I wouldn't have this place without him. So while I could pout all day about how shitty it was, I still was grateful for what he had given me.
